PDPH is a heterobifunctional protein crosslinker used to couple carbohydrates to proteins or peptides through the cysteine residues. PDPH's contains a hydrazide group, which is reactive towards oxidized carbohydrates, and a pyridyldithio functional group, which forms a reverisible bond with available sulfhydryls (-SH).
