ELISA, Western Blot. Anti-IL-34 Antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and WB. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band at ~48 kDa in size corresponding to IL-34 by Western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. Despite its predicted molecular weight, IL-34 will often run at higher molecular weight in SDS-PAGE. Human brain tissue lysate may be used as positive control.

Description
Anti-IL 34 was purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography. The IL34 gene is conserved in chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, and rat. This antibody reacts with IL-34 from human, mouse, and rat sources. Reactivity with IL-34 from other sources has not been determined.
Immunogen
Anti-IL-34 Antibody was prepared from whole rabbit serum produced by repeated immunizations with a synthetic peptide corresponding to a region near the amino terminus of human IL-34 protein.
