NGAL is a biomarker of kidney tubular damage and has become a convenient, quantifiable end-point in rat models of nephrotoxicity. The NGAL (rat) ELISA Kit is a sandwich assay that can be used to measure NGAL in rat urine, plasma, serum, tissue extracts, or culture media samples. The assay exhibits intra-assay %CV values of <4% with sensitivity sufficient to detect levels of NGAL as low as 0.5 pg/ml.
