Ezutromid is a first orally available drug for the treatment of Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), a lethal, X-linked muscle wasting disease caused due to lack of dystrophin-a cytoskeleton protein. Ezutromid has shown potential as disease modifying treatment for DMD patients irrespective of their gene mutation.
