Description
Nogo Receptor Polyclonal Antibody. NgBR, also known as Nogo-B receptor, is a 293 amino acid rich member of the UPP synthetase family. Though the extact fundtion of NgBR is still not clear, reports suggest that this membrane protein acts as a specific receptor for the N-terminus of Nogo-B, a neural and cardiovascular regulator. It has similarity with UPP synthetase proteins which suggests that it may act as a scaffold for the binding of isoprenyl lipids and/or prenylated proteins but has no lipid transferase activity. NgBR colocalizes with Nogo-B during VEGF and wound healing angiogenesis and is thus able to regulate vascular remodeling and angiogenesis.
